Westford Chorus is a SATB non-auditioned community chorus under the leadership of Director Jim Barkovic. We rehearse Tuesday evenings at 7:15 at the Parish Center for the Arts in Westford Center. Audition solo parts are available depending on the program. Currently the chorus has about 40 members, who come from Westford, Chelmsford, Littleton, Groton, Lowell, Billerica, and Tyngsborough. Since its founding in 1983, the Westford Chorus has transcended the bounds of a community chorus by performing diverse and challenging works, including Mozart Requiem, Renaissance polyphony, P.D.Q. Bach, Carl Orff Carmina Burana, as well as costumed productions o f Gilbert and Sullivan The Pirates of Penzance, Mozart The Marriage of Figaro, and Bizet Carmen. We present two major performances each year, in January and April. We also participate in community outreach programs such as singing at area nursing homes.
